TIPS FOR WRITING APPLICATION LETTER

1. Review Company and Position Information

The main point when writing a job application letter is to show interest in the available job vacancies. Take time to look up information about the company that you can find on the company's website, as well as any vacant job positions.

Compare your qualifications and experience with the list of skills required for the job posting. You can also include work experience related to the vacancy position you are applying for, for example leading a team or managing a large event.

2. Open a Page Letter Explaining Your Interests

In the first paragraph of your cover letter, state the title of the job you are applying for and where you saw the job opening. Be specific about your interest in the job vacancies available at the company so your readers know this letter is not a general job application.

Briefly describe the experience or qualifications that make you a good match for the available vacancies. This is a point that will be of interest to recruiters or HRD.

3. Describe Your Experience and Qualifications

In the next paragraph the job application letter should highlight your experience, qualifications and expertise that are aligned with the company's goals and mission.

4. Include Aspects of Your Personality

When writing a job application letter, consider incorporating aspects of your personality while remaining professional. Write the letter in a friendly and attractive way to get the job recruiter's eye.

5. Convey Appreciation

Before signing a job application letter, convey your appreciation to the recruiter or HRD who reads the letter and considers your application. The recruiter took the time to read your cover letter, so thank them for the time spent in a polite and professional manner closing the document.

For example, 'I appreciate the time you have taken to review my application letter. Since you likely received a number of applications and letters for this open position, I am extremely grateful for the time you have spent reading about me and what would make me a good fit for this role'.

6. Cover letter

Many people use 'Sincerely' or 'Best' to close a letter with a signature. The cover letter for a job application must contain your full name. If you are sending a hard copy of the letter, include your signature above your name. When emailing your cover letter, you must include your contact information below your name, not in the header.
